Following Lord Brown’s retirement over Easter, the UKSC has announced that Lord Justice Carnwath will be sworn in as a Justice of the Supreme Cour
t on 17 Apr 2012.
Lord Justice Carnwath was Chairman of the Law Commission for England and Wales between 1999–2002, and was appointed the first Senior President of Tribunals in 2007.
He will be styled as “Lord Carnwath of Notting Hill”.
