In an interview in yesterday’s Daily Telegraph, Lord Phllips talks about the creation of the Supreme Court as a constitutional revolution and disagrees with Lord Neuberger’s views expressed in the recent Radio Four documentary “Top Dogs”.  He described the new court as “a unique chance to engage the public” – a project to which this Blog hopes to make some contribution.

Lord Phillips also expressed sympathy with those faced with the dilemma of  “assisted suicide” – whilst being careful to make it clear that this was a “personal view”.  This point was picked up by the Times today – doing their best to fulfil their own prediction that this would “fuel controversy”
