On Monday 27 October the Court will hear the matter of Anson v The Commissioners for Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs to decide whether the appellant’s liability to UK income tax in relation to his membership of a Delaware limited liability company is to be computed by reference to the same profits or income by reference to which the appellant’s US tax liability is computed. This will be heard in Court 2 at 11am. It will continue on Tuesday from 10.30am.

On Wednesday 29 October the Court will hand down judgment in the following: Les Laboratories Servier and Anor v Apotex Inc and Ors, regarding the use of the defence of illegality to a claim on a cross-undertaking in damages; and R (Moseley) v London Borough of Haringey, regarding the proper approach to Government consultations, and in particular those conduct under the Local Government Finance Act 1902 in respect of proposed “Council Tax Reduction Schemes” introduced to replace council tax benefits.

The Privy Council will hand down judgment in Baldwin King and Hariette Richardson v Gherson Robertson on Monday 27 October in Court 3 at 11am and will then hear the case of Peerthum v The Independent Commission against Corruption and Anor regarding whether the Prevention of Corruption Act 2002, s 24(5)(b), interferes with the role of the Disciplined Forces Service Commission. On Wednesday 29 October it will hear The Presidential Insurance Company Ltd v Mohammed and Ors regarding the Motor Vehicles Insurance (Third Party Risks) Act, ss 4(7) and 4A.
