On Monday 14 March 2016 the Supreme Court will hear the appeals of Goluchowski v District Court in Elblag, Poland and another case concerning whether the failure to mention or particularise Polish domestic arrest warrants – issued to enforce sentences imposed on the convicted appellants – in a European Arrest Warrant renders the European Arrest Warrant invalid, pursuant to the Extradition Act 2003, s 2(6)(c). This will be heard in Court 1 from 11am.

On Tuesday 15 March it will hear the appeal of McDonald (by her litigation friend Duncan J McDonald) v McDonald & Ors regarding whether it is open to a court to consider whether an order would infringe the tenant’s rights under the ECHR, art 8, during a hearing of an application by a private landlord under Housing Act 1988, s 21(4), for a possession order against an assured shorthold tenant. It will be heard in Court 2 from 10.30am and will continue on Wednesday.

On Wednesday 16 March it will hear the appeal of Versloot Dredging BV & Anor v HDI Gerling Industrie Versicherung AG & Ors questioning whether the rule by which a fraudulent insurance claim precludes recovery under the policy applies to fraudulent means or devices. It will be heard in Court 3 from 10.30am and will continue on Thursday.

On Thursday 17 March it will hear the appeal of In the matter of N (Children) (Adoption: Jurisdiction) concerning the applicability of Council Regulation (EC) No 2201/2003, art 15, to applications for care orders and the proper approach to the assessment of the children’s best interests on applications for transfer of care proceedings, in the present case from England to Hungary. It will be heard in Court 2 from 10.30am
