We were inspired to set up this blog by the historic establishment of the UK Supreme Court in place of the House of Lords, which for the past 600 years has been the UK’s highest court.

Our aim is to provide useful and entertaining case comments and news in relation to the House of Lords and the new Supreme Court. We believe that there is much to admire in the way in which the supreme courts of other countries, for instance that of the United States, generate enthusiam and interest. Our goal is therefore to become both a resource for readers and also a forum in which both contributors and readers can put forward their thoughts and ideas about decided cases and the practice and role of the Supreme Court generally.

We hope that you will enjoy reading and be inspired to comment. Please do not hestitate to contact any of the authors if you would like any further information.
