There are no cases in the Supreme Court on Monday 9 June 2014.

On Tuesday 10 June 2014, the Court will hear the appeal of Les Laboratoires Servier & Anor v Apotex Inc & Ors in Court 2 from 10.00 am. This case regards pharmaceutical patent infringement and whether the defence of illegality is available for a cross-undertaking of damages in certain situations.

On Wednesday 11 and Thursday 12 June 2014, the court will hear the appeals of VB v Westminster Magistrates’ Court and related appeals, in Court 2 from 10.30 am. These cases will answer the question of whether a party to extradition proceedings may rely on evidence not disclosed to the other.

On Wednesday 11 June 2014 the Supreme Court will hand down judgment in the following: Khaira & Ors v Shergill & Ors, R (Eastenders Cash and Carry plc & Ors) v HMRC and R (First Stop Wholesale Ltd) v HMRC.

In the Privy Council on Monday 9 June 2014 is the Saint Lucian appeal of Nelson & Ors v First Caribbean International Bank (Barbados) Ltd regarding loan agreements in Court 3 from 11am. Also, on Monday, the Privy Council will hear the Cypriot Sovereign Base areas appeal of Yiacoub & Yiocoub v The Queen in Court 2, from 12 noon. On Tuesday 10 June the PC will hear an appeal from Trinidad and Tobago; Webster & Ors v The Attorney General of Trinidad and Tobago, regarding potential discrimination in the Special Reserve Police, from 10.30 am in Court 3.
