The Supreme Court has just announced that Lord Neuberger Of Abbotsbury, currently Master of the Rolls, will become president of the Court when Lord Phillips of Worth Matravers steps down on 30 September 2012.
Earlier today, The Guardian accurately predicted that Lord Neuberger’s appointment would be announced today, following a recruitment process that has seen him pip Lady Hale and Lord Mance for the job.
