Hearings in the Supreme Court are now shown live on the Court’s website.

On Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 January, the Supreme Court will hear the appeal of Tillman v Egon Zehnder Ltd. This appeal will consider whether the doctrine of restraint is engaged by a restriction on post-employment shareholding, the proper construction of the phrase ‘interested in’ in a non-competition covenant, and the correct approach to severance of a non-competition covenant. This will be heard in Courtroom 2.

On Wednesday 23 January, the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council will hear the appeal of Attorney General of St Helena v AB & Ors (St Helena). This appeal will consider whether the St Helena Court of Appeal erred in the principles it applied when considering the appropriate level of damages for pain, suffering and loss of amenity. This will be heard in Courtroom 3.

On Thursday 24 January, the Supreme Court will hear the appeal of Stocker v Stocker. This appeal will consider whether the judge erred in determining the meaning of the words complained of, contrary to material adduced by the appellant as to the usage of the words to which he should have regard, and whether the Court of Appeal erred in its approach to the standard of appellate review of the determination of meaning. This will be heard in Courtroom 2.
