On Monday 18 May 2015 the Court will hear the joined appeals of Glengary Overseas Ltd v JKX Oil & Gas Plc and another case concerning the application of one of the respondent’s articles of association regarding the holding of specified shares to restrictions. It will be heard in Court 2 from 10.30am and will continue on Tuesday from 10am.

On Wednesday 20 May the Court will hand down judgment in the following: OPO (by his litigation friend BHM) & Anor v MLA regarding an injunction restraining the publication of the appellant’s autobiography that describes the sexual abuse he suffered as a child. The respondent’s mother obtained the injunction on his behalf, arguing that the publication fell within the scope of the tort of intentionally inflicting harm on the son; International Energy Group Limited v Zurich Insurance PLC UK Branch involving whether an insured company is entitled to an indemnity from an insurer for the entirety of its outlay in respect of a claim brought against it for negligence and breach of statutory duty for exposure to asbestos when an employee was diagnosed with mesothelioma; and Haile v London Borough of Waltham Forest involving whether the respondent London Borough should have considered whether the appellant’s homelessness was intentional on the date she left the accommodation, or the date of Waltham Forest’s decision. These will be handed down in Court 2 from 9.45am.

On Monday 18 May the Privy Council will hand down judgment in Elizabeth Ram (Administrator of the Estate of Pearl Baboolal) v Motor and General Insurance Company Ltd (Trinidad and Tobago) and Hall v Maritek Bahamas Ltd (The Bahamas). These judgments will not be delivered in Court.
