On Monday 15 December 2014 the Court will hear the joined appeals of Hotak v London Borough of Southwark; Johnson v Solihull; and Kanu v London Borough of Southwark involving what the correct test should be when trying to establish if a person should have priority need status for the purposes of the Housing Act 1996, s19, in particular how to determine whether they were “vulnerable”. It will be heard in Court 2 from 11am and will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday at 10.30am.

On Wednesday 17 December the Court will hand down the full judgment in Moohan & Anor v The Lord Advocate following the instant dismissal of the appeal at the end of the hearing in July 2014 to provide an answer before Scottish Referendum took place on the 18 September 2014. It will also hand down judgment in Greater Glasgow Health Board v Doogan & Anor regarding whether the Abortion Act 1967, s 4(1), entitled a Labour Ward Co-ordinator to refuse to delegate to, supervise and/or support midwives providing care to patients undergoing termination procedures because of their Roman Catholic beliefs. They will both be handed down in Court 1 from 9.45am.

On Thursday 18 December the Court will hear the appeal of Sustainable Shetland v The Scottish Ministers & Anor regarding the decision by the respondents to grant consent for the construction and operation of a wind farm. This will be heard in Court 2 from 10.30am.

On Thursday 18 December the Privy Council will issue the judgments in Peerthum v The Independent Commission against Corruption & Anor and Mitchell v Georges. These judgments will not be delivered in Court.
