This morning it was announced that the Supreme Court had received an application from PJS for permission to appeal to the Court in a case relating to an interim injunction prohibiting the publication of details of the appellant’s extramarital relations. PJS v News Group Newspapers Ltd has now been listed for an oral hearing on Thursday 21st April at 9.30am in Courtroom 1.

The Supreme Court will hear argument as to whether permission to appeal should be granted, and, if it is granted, as to whether the appeal itself should be allowed or dismissed.

The interim injunction granted by the Court of Appeal will remain in force until the Supreme Court has ruled on the issues above.

Thursday’s hearing will be streamed live on the Supreme Court’s website (here).
