In an interview on BBC Radio 4 to be broadcast this evening, the incoming Master of the Rolls, Lord Neuberger, predicts conflict between the Supreme Court and the government.
The Today Programme and the BBC News website reported this morning on comments made by Lord Neuberger, appearing to criticise the decision to establish the Supreme Court. Lord Neuberger reportedly described the move as “a last-minute decision over a glass of whisky” and said that: “the danger is that you muck around with a constitution like the British Constitution at your peril because you do not know what the consequences of any change will be.”
