On Wednesday 6 April 2016 the Supreme Court will hear the appeals of R (Agyarko) v Secretary of state for the Home Department concerning whether the requirement that an applicant who formed a relationship with a British citizen whilst in the UK unlawfully must demonstrate “insurmountable obstacles” to be granted leave to remain in the UK under the Immigration Rules, Appendix FM, is compliant with the ECHR, art 8. This will be heard in Court 2 from 10.30am and will continue on Thursday from 2pm.
On Wednesday 6 April 2016 the Privy Council will hear the appeal of Arorangi Timberland Ltd & Ors v Minister of the Cook Islands National Superannuation Fund (Cook Islands) concerning whether the Cook Islands National Superannuation Act 2000 is unconstitutional. This will be heard in Court 3 from 10.30am and will continue on Thursday from 2pm.
