The House of Lords have now published the list of Judicial Sittings for “Trinity Term” – that is the legal term from 2 June to 31 July 2009. Eleven Appeals are currently listed, with “To be Listed” slots for three more.
The list of sittings can be found on the House of Lords Website www.parliament.uk/documents/upload/JudicialCurrentSitting.pdf. The cases listed include the Office of Fair Trading v Abbey National case about bank charges and the Barclays Brothers case concerning the constitutional arrangements in the island of Sark.
The very last case to be heard by the House of Lords will be BA (Nigeria) v Home Secretary. This is listed for 30 July 2009 and it seems likely that it will be heard in the chamber.
