The Law Society has produced its own brief but useful Guide to the Supreme Court focusing on the practice side the new Court.  Among the information it discloses is as follows.

“There is no advocates’ dining room in the Supreme Court but there is a public cafeteria and it will be possible to arrange light meals to be served in the lawyers’ suite.”

“A lectern will be provided if the advocate prefers to stand before the court. Microphones have been installed in the desks which are very sensitive. They can pick up whispered conversations and should be switched off for sotto voce exchanges with colleagues or clients.”
