On Monday 9 November 2015 the Supreme Court will hear the conjoined appeals of Belhaj & Anor v Straw & Ors; Rahmatullah v Ministry of Defence & Anor. These cases concern the detention and torture suffered by the respondents allegedly by the United States and whether the doctrine of foreign acts of state is engaged in these matters. It will be heard in Court 1 from 11am and will continue and Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30am.
