On Monday 3 November 2014 the Court will hear the appeal of R (Newhaven Port & Properties Ltd) v East Sussex County Council & Anor to decide whether an area of sand within the Port of Newhaven, known as West Beach, should be registered as a town or village green under the Commons Act 2006, s15. It will be heard in Court 2 from 11am and will continue on Tuesday from 10.30am.

On Wednesday 5 November the Court will hand down judgment in the following: Telchadder v Wickland Holdings Ltd involving whether a notice to remedy a breach runs indefinitely throughout the period of a licence to reside on a mobile site or ceases to have effect following compliance with its terms for a reasonable period; AIB Group (UK) plc v Mark Redler & Co Associates regarding equitable compensation following a breach of trust; and EN v Westminister Magistrates’ Court and other cases regarding the admissibility of private evidence during extradition proceedings to protect the witnesses’ safety.

On Thursday 6 November the Court will hear the appeal of JR 38, Re Judicial Review regarding whether the publication and retention of CCTV images by the police during the Summer 2009 riots interferes with the person’s ECHR rights, art 8. It will be heard in Court 2 from 10.30 am.

The Privy Council will hear the appeal of Pora v R regarding the admissibility of evidence in a criminal trial.
