On Monday 29 February 2016 the Supreme Court will hear the appeal of R (MA & Ors) v Secretary of State for Work and Pensions & other cases concerning the changes to the Housing Benefit Regulations 2006 and whether they discriminate against disabled people and victims of domestic abuse, who may have a need for an additional bedroom by reasons of their disability or a safe room, in breach of art 14 taken together with art 1 of protocol 1 of the ECHR. This will be heard in Court 1 from 11am and will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10.30am.
On Wednesday 2 March it will hand down judgment in the conjoined appeals of Mr A M Mohamud (in substitution for Mr A Mohamud (deceased)) v WM Morrison Supermarkets plc and Cox v Ministry of Justice concerning the test of vicarious liability for employers. This will be handed down in Court 1 from 9.45am.
On Thursday 3 March it will hear the appeal of McBride v Scottish Police Authority (Scotland) regarding whether the Employment Tribunal judgment reinstated the appellant to employment which was different from that from which she had been dismissed. It will be heard in Court 1 from 10.30am.

I am a committed fan of this blog … I find the posts to be uniformly excellent. I have one question (and am probably overlooking an obvious way to find the answer): I was following an interesting UK case about entitlement to a certain title (baronetcy?), where one branch of the family in question was questioning the “legitimacy” of another branch, with entitlement to the title turning on that issue. As I recall the UKSC was scheduled to hear an appeal in that case a few months ago (?), but I’m not sure if that happened or generally where that case sits. I found the case (Baronetcy of Pringle of Stichill) and see that it was argued over a number of days, most recently Jan 25/16 … do I understand correctly that judgment was taken under reserve and is still outstanding? Michael

Thanks for your comments – the decision seems to be a Privy Council case (UKSC Blog only covers the Supreme Court work of the UKSC). There seems to have been a 2nd hearing on 25 Jan 2016. You can watch the hearings here: https://www.jcpc.uk/cases/jcpc-2015-0079.html
I can’t see that there has yet been a judgment in this case.
