On Wednesday 1 May, the Supreme Court will hear the appeal of X v Kuoni Travel Ltd. This appeal will consider whether the respondent is liable to the appellant for breach of contract and/or under the Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations, reg 15. This will be heard in Courtroom 2.

On Wednesday 1 May, the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council will hear the appeal of Emmerson International Corporation v Renova Holding Ltd (British Virgin Islands). This appeal will consider whether the asset disclosure order that accompanies a freezing order is an injunction for the purposes of leave to appeal under the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court (Virgin Islands) Act, s 30(4). This will be heard in Courtroom 3.

On Thursday 2 May, the Supreme Court will hear the appeal of MacDonald & Anor v Carnbroe Estates Ltd (Scotland). This appeal will consider whether the sale of premises was a ‘gratuitous alienation’ under the Insolvency Act 1986, s 242. This will be heard in Courtroom 2.
