Supreme CourtToday the Supreme Court has launched a service whereby current and past proceedings can be viewed any time and at any place.

Supreme Court President Lord Neuberger said, “Now justice can be seen to be done at a time that suits you”. He added, “It will also be useful to the legal profession and serve as an informative tool for those considering a career in the law.”

Footage of hearings in court will be uploaded on the next working day and will be freely available to view on each case’s page on the Supreme Court website for approximately one year thereafter.

The Court already has a YouTube channel but this only shows summaries of its judgments thus far. This on demand archive also complements the Court’s existing live streaming service, which has been used by about 15,000 people each month since its launch in October 2014.
