The Supreme Court has received an application for permission to appeal in the case of R (Shindler & Anor) v Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster & Anor. The Court of Appeal dismissed the appellants’ challenge to the EU Referendum Act 2015, s 2, which excluded from the franchise for the EU Referendum UK citizens who have moved abroad and were last registered to vote in the UK more than 15 years ago.

On Tuesday 24 May at 10.30am there will be an oral hearing of the application for permission to appeal, with the appeal to follow immediately if permission to appeal is granted.
